We created DiaShield to solve a very specific challenge: protecting your t:slim from water.

"Well, this could be a problem." That thought went through my head after I finished an all-day float trip — multiple hours from home. I, like many others, understood that my t:slim has some level of waterproofing. While that may be true when the t:slim is manufactured, seals wear over time, and there is a high risk when exposing an t:slim to water. My t:slim got splashed a few times that day, but never fully submerged.

Nonetheless, my t:slim was dead by the time I finished the float trip and I was hours from home. This type of situation can easily go from "inconvenient and tedious" to "very dangerous".

Hi, my name is Jarrod King. I've always enjoyed living an active lifestyle, including running, swimming, going to the lake with friends, or hanging out by the pool. The problem is that all the things I enjoy inherently put my t:slim at risk. That is why I created Diassentials.
